The Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the national voice of the workplace and occupational rehabilitation industry.
This is a pivotal time for our sector and for ARPA as an organisation. Building on a strong foundation, the CEO will lead our national agenda—driving industry capability, deepening member value, and representing members with influence and integrity across all jurisdictions.
About the Role
Reporting to the ARPA National President and working closely with the National Executive Council, the CEO will provide strategic leadership, maintain and further build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and regulators, and oversee the day-to-day operations and financial management of the association.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced executive with a proven understanding of the personal injury and/or workplace rehabilitation sector and a strong commitment to advancing quality and best practice across the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the industry as ARPA’s national spokesperson on key workplace rehabilitation priorities and initiatives
Progress the strategic direction and growth of ARPA in line with the National Executive’s vision
Manage ARPA’s national operations, people, and assets to ensure sustainability and impact
Strengthen member engagement and continue to build the profile and value of ARPA membership
Drive strategic, timely and effective representation to government agencies and stakeholders
Oversee compliance, governance, risk, and financial performance to ensure all requirements are met
Drive national and state-based projects aligned with member and stakeholder priorities
About You
You will be a respected leader with:
Tertiary qualifications in business, allied health, or a related field (Desirable)
Significant exposure to the workplace rehabilitation and/or personal injury sector highly regarded
A strong understanding of jurisdictional differences and national issues impacting the sector
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including experience engaging with regulators, government, members, and media
Strong strategic, operational, and governance capabilities
A values-driven approach and commitment to advancing best practice and professional standards across the industry
Full-time, flexible working arrangements
Remuneration commensurate with experience and skills
A structured annual bonus of up to 10% applies, subject to performance against agreed KPIs
