W.E. are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Store person to join our well-cultured team at our facility based in the Northern suburbs of Geelong. As a Store person, you will play a critical role in the proper storage, handling, and distribution of goods within our temperature-controlled environment. You will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the products and ensuring efficient operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize products within the cold storage facility.
- Receive incoming goods, inspect shipments for accuracy, and document any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate labelling, categorization, and placement of products for easy retrieval.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfil orders and prepare products for distribution.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Actively participate in inventory management and conduct regular stock checks.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory movement and transactions.
- Provide support in emergencies by utilizing first aid skills as necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid forklift license and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
- Current first aid certification with a strong understanding of basic first aid procedures.
- Previous experience working in a cold storage environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in cold conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
