Under direction from the Digital Editor the role will include; Designing, researching, producing and editing complex high-quality broadcast and digital graphics and animation. Collaborating with colleagues to achieve in a flexible, supportive team environment. Keeping abreast of stylistic changes and technological developments in graphic design. Position Description: 50013005 JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER BACKFILL.pdf About You You will have a passion for news and knowledge of graphic production techniques and software capabilities. You will have demonstrated design capabilities and experience in graphic compositions and animation techniques using the latest Adobe CC software, primarily Photoshop and After Effects. To be successful in this role you will also have: Experience with 3D animation software and elements and their integration with After Effects would be an advantage. Ability to contribute creatively and aesthetically to the final product exercising considerable independent judgement. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to work co-operatively and harmoniously with producers, directors, journalists, camera operators and other newsroom and technical staff.
