RESIDENTIAL: Kalgoorlie/Boulder
DUTIES
* Conduct risks assessments for field tasks at a team and individual level.
* Complete regular safety inspections of grade control drill rigs and ancillary equipment.
* Assist Geologists & Surveyors in completing ore mark ups, geological mapping, clast hole sampling ensuring no unplanned standby of mining equipment due to ore not being marked up.
* Ensure samples meet the GC QC sampling standards before removal of samples from the drill site.
* Reporting any non-compliance in sampling or drilling technique immediately to the driller and Senior Geologist.
* Maintain electronic records of all sample submissions and drilling completed by the Open Pit Geology team, ensure paper copies and files are accessible.
* Regular stockpile sampling, ensuring data is recorded showing assayed grades.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (Preferable)
* Forklift Licence (Desirable)
* 4WD competent and experience working in remote locations (Desirable).
* Knowledge (or formal training) of geological sampling theory (Desirable).
* Experience in conducting geological / geochemical sampling programs (Desirable).
* Current unrestricted "C" Class WA Manual Drivers Licence(Must Have)
* Satisfactory NPC clearance
* Valid work visa, permanent residency or Australian citizenship
