We're looking for an enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our Wild Dog Home Hardware store.
About the Role
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth store performance, and a positive team culture.
This role suits someone who enjoys being on the shop floor & in the office, solving problems, and supporting a small team to deliver great results.
Located in Apollo Bay, the successful applicant will be local to the area (within 30 kms), or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, rostering, and inventory control
Lead, mentor, and support a small team to achieve sales and service targets
Provide expert advice to customers across hardware, timber, construction and general DIY
Manage stock levels, product ordering, and supplier relationships
Ensure the store is presented to a high standard, with safe and compliant work practices
Develop strong relationships with trade customers and local businesses
Handle point-of-sale systems, reporting, and IT requirements
Drive a positive, customer-focusedy culture within the store
Skills & Experience
Background in hardware, timber, construction, or related industries
Strong leadership experience, ideally in retail or trade environments
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good computer skills and confidence using POS, inventory or ordering systems
Strong problem-solving ability and sound decision-making
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
A commitment to safety and maintaining a tidy, efficient store
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) – preferred but not essential
