We are seeking an experienced and organized Scheduler to join the South Australian team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring on-time deliveries, efficient route planning, and compliance across daily transport operations.
Reporting to the SA State Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining accurate schedules to ensure efficient fleet utilisation, driver compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain efficient transport schedules ensuring on-time deliveries and optimal resource use
Coordinate with drivers, warehouse and logistics teams to align deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Optimize routes to improve efficiency, fuel usage, and cost-effectiveness
Track delivery performance, maintain accurate records, and produce performance reports
Manage vehicle allocations and monitor fleet availability
Ensure full compliance with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility legislation
Conduct audits on driver timesheets, checklists, and digital platforms such as 'I Rock'
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to maintain high service standards
Organise permits, escorts, and pilot vehicles as required
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in transport scheduling, logistics coordination, or fleet planning
Strong understanding of transport regulations, fatigue management, and CoR compliance
Proficient in transport management systems (TMS), routing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams
