Due to continued project growth and a strong pipeline extending through the next several years, the team is seeking a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to support the delivery of high-quality HVAC and mechanical services documentation.
This role will suit someone who enjoys practical engineering, collaborative project delivery, and producing clear, buildable drawings that support real construction outcomes.
You'll work closely with engineers and project teams to produce coordinated mechanical documentation using Autodesk Revit, supporting projects across multiple sectors within the built environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing coordinated mechanical services documentation, supporting engineers and project teams across design development and project delivery stages.
Responsibilities will include producing accurate mechanical drawings, maintaining coordinated BIM models, and assisting with project documentation that supports smooth construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain mechanical services Revit models for HVAC systems
* Produce clear and accurate mechanical layouts, sections, and installation details
* Prepare construction-ready documentation including coordinated services drawings
* Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection with other building services
* Support engineers with design documentation and project delivery
* Coordinate with architectural, structural and other services models
* Ensure drawings meet relevant standards and project requirements
About You
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in mechanical drafting within building services
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
* Experience producing detailed mechanical documentation
* Understanding of HVAC systems and services coordination
* Strong attention to detail and documentation quality
* Ability to manage multiple projects within active construction environments
* Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

* Experience working with contractors or design & construct projects
* Exposure to BIM coordination tools or clash detection workflows
* Experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, or complex projects
* Practical understanding of how mechanical services are installed on site
