Silverstone is seeking experienced Electricians with gold processing plant experience to join a Gold Miner in the gold fields. This is an 8:6 day shift only FIFO role, commencing on a casual basis with an opportunity to move into a permanent position after 3 months.
The Role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and compliance of electrical systems across the Processing Plant. The role requires a proactive, safety-focused tradesperson capable of fault finding, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response in a mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical maintenance, fault finding and installations across the Processing Plant
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance of fixed plant equipment
* Maintenance of LV systems, variable speed drives, PLCs and SCADA (Citect) systems
* Instrumentation fault finding including belt weighers, level sensors and flow meters
* Conduct statutory inspections, RCD testing, HV switching and earthing checks
* Maintain electrical records, log books and compliance documentation
* Assist during shutdowns and plant breakdowns
* Maintain high housekeeping standards in substations, cabinets and work areas

o Support plant operations when required, including Beneficiation Plant monitoring

o Participate in callouts or overtime outside standard 12-hour shifts as required
Requirements
* Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
* Unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
* High Voltage Switching qualification
* Certificate IV in Instrumentation (preferred)
* Minimum 12 months experience in a Processing Plant or Fixed Plant mining environment
* Gold processing experience preferred
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Excellent safety awareness
* Full Australian working rights
