About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and compliance-focused Lead Line Planner to join our Engineering team in a pivotal leadership role. Based on a 4-on, 4-off day shift pattern, the Lead Line Planner will oversee all planning activities for 7 days and act as the primary escalation point for planning-related issues. The role involves leading and mentoring a rotating team of Planners, ensuring maintenance planning outcomes through clear communication, setting clear intentions, and following up effectively.Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Planning, responsibilities include:Identifying critical business resources (labour, material, equipment, etc.) needed to ensure compliance and efficiency with scheduled maintenanceProviding leadership, guidance, and demonstrating Jetstar values to Planning staffEnsuring continued airworthiness management and compliance with CASA and other industry regulations through sound processes and proceduresDriving departmental procedure complianceSupporting ongoing operational improvementsBuilding and maintaining relationships with stakeholders within Jetstar Engineering, AMO, and external MROsManaging training and daily competencies of the Line Planning TeamActing in higher duties to support operational needs when requiredAnalyzing maintenance performance and initiating proactive maintenance to maximize equipment performanceMonitoring and guiding Planners in preparing maintenance plans, analyzing backlogs, ensuring schedule compliance, and recommending solutions for delaysPreparing reports on planning performance and monitoring compliance for optimal plant availabilityOverseeing induction, training, and integration of new team members Skills & Experience Needed Minimum 2 years' experience in aircraft maintenance planning or a similar roleStrong understanding of maintenance planning tools and capabilitiesExcellent communication, influencing, people management, and leadership skillsStrong compliance knowledge and attention to detailFamiliarity with MIS, OEM data, and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of PART 145 / 42 regulatory frameworksWillingness to work a 12-hour rotating day shift, 4 days on, 4 days offEffective prioritization and time management skillsApplications close: Strictly 23:59, Sunday 18 May 2025.
