Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Bunbury, WA, or a part-time role in Busselton WA. The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for predominantly older adults with speech, language, and communication disorders. Responsibilities include developing tailored treatment plans, addressing communication or swallowing challenges such as dysphagia, and collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. This role also involves monitoring progress, maintaining records, and applying evidence-based practices to benefit clients.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Speech Therapy, including assessment, intervention, and therapy techniques
* Strong knowledge of Speech and Communication Disorders
* Experienced in managing Dysphagia and providing tailored therapeutic solutions
* Understanding of Language Disorders and treatment approaches
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their support networks
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
* Current certification and licensure to practice as a Speech Pathologist in Australia
* Familiarity with working in community settings or with diverse populations is advantageous
