About the Role
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to fill this key position.
* A diploma level education in a highly relevant field is essential.
* Minimum of 1 year's work experience in a related role is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to understand scope and requirements accurately.
2. Analyse project needs and estimate the total cost of materials, labour, equipment, and construction activities thoroughly.
3. Conduct site visits to gather measurements, assess conditions, and identify factors affecting pricing effectively.
4. Negotiate competitive deals and tenders for the project by establishing strong relationships with suppliers.
5. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors to clarify design details and construction requirements clearly.
6. Prepare accurate and detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets for client and internal review purposes.
7. Present clear and concise costing information to clients and stakeholders, providing recommendations for cost-saving opportunities where applicable.
8. Assist in preparing tender submissions, including pricing documentation and supporting cost information efficiently.
9. Participate in tender negotiations and contribute to the finalization of project costs effectively.
