About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will work on a range of metal structures, components, and piping systems, ensuring precision and durability in every weld.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment including .
- Perform high-quality welding
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, defects, and compliance with quality standards.
- Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly of components as required.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
- Assist with on-site installations or repairs as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a First Class Welder within a manufacturing, environment.
- Solid knowledge of welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current driver’s license
Desirable
- Experience with pipe and fitting welding
- Knowledge of welding standards such as ISO21307
