Our client is a government organisation responsible for delivering and maintaining transport infrastructure across the Mackay region. They play an important role in supporting the local community through safe, reliable and efficient services, while contributing to regional growth.
What You Will Be Doing
* Prepare, administer, and review procurement and contract documentation
* Coordinate contract administration processes and maintain accurate records
* Deliver financial services including accounts payable and receivable
* Ensure compliance with procurement and financial policies
* Maintain data accuracy across financial and procurement systems
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Senior Advisor (Branch Operations) and Manager (Finance and Procurement)
What You Will Need
* Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of accounting and procurement concepts and processes
* Experience with integrated financial management systems and software applications (e.g. databases, spreadsheets)
* Strong data entry and data management skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
* Previous government experience (highly regarded)
