Product Colour Specialist

The Product Colour Specialist crafts the sensory language that defines every product, from colour to material and finish. Ensuring every component, trim, and material meets our standards is crucial to translating creative vision into manufacturing reality.

This role thrives on precision and attention to detail, intercepting potential production issues before they happen. The successful candidate will create and maintain detailed specifications that guide every product through production, build a comprehensive digital colour library, and systematise physical and digital archives.

A strong understanding of colour and materials interaction in production phases is essential for this role. The ability to communicate clearly with both creative and technical teams is also vital.

* Have a degree in fashion, textiles, accessory/ industrial design or similar creative field
* Possess strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills (particularly Illustrator) and are eager to expand technical design capabilities
* Have an exceptional eye for colour and want to deepen understanding of how materials interact in production phases
* Are naturally organised and excited to learn creating systems that scale across a growing product range
* Pay close attention to details that others might miss (and genuinely bother you when incorrect)
* Can communicate clearly with both creative and technical teams and enjoy working collaboratively
* Are excited to learn the technical side of product development and understand beautiful design means nothing if not manufacturable correctly

Responsibilities:

* Create detailed colourway specifications for new products, ensuring every stitch, zip, and edge paint is documented correctly
* Review lab dips from suppliers and note which ones need adjustment to match our standards
* Update digital colour library with new Pantone references and supplier codes
* Colour technical sketches in Illustrator for upcoming product launches
* Organise physical colour swatches from archives into new filing system
* Catch any discrepancies in colour accuracy before production
* Collaborate with Product Graphic Designer on ensuring print colours work with base materials
* Communicate specification updates to product development team and work with them to understand purpose behind changes.
