Direct and oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct work groups and units engaged in planning, construction, maintenance, operation, repair, renovation, alteration, and demolition of buildings, structures, equipment, machinery, and facilities.
\

Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate bids from outside engineering, architectural, and construction firms.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Establish schedules and budgetary controls, allocate expenditures, and oversee coordination of major construction activities with engineering, contracts, and government agencies.
\

[item]
Ensure compliance with contract specifications, insurance requirements, and local building codes.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Participate in department strategic planning, ensuring needed skills are available.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Develop and maintain relationships with other engineering organizations to stay current with developments.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Interpret and recommend modifications to organizational policies and corporate initiatives.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Establish and maintain quality systems, instill values and ethics.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Hire, manage dismissals, conduct performance evaluations, plan salary increases; handle discipline and documentation as needed.
\

Set department and individual performance goals, review performance, coach and train subordinates.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
\
\\[item]
Must be a US or Australian Citizen.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Must possess a US TS/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
\
[/item]\
[item]
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or technical equivalent and a minimum of 8 years directly related facilities experience. In lieu of formal education, 16 years of directly related experience. 4 years of specialized military experience can substitute for a BA/BS degree.
