**The Role**
Our Business Management team is a dynamic group with a collaborative work culture. We provide administration support to a busy, integrated team of environmental officers.
We are seeking an APS5 Administration Officer who thrives in the business management space. If you have a strong attention to detail, and the talent to work on wide-ranging business activities concurrently, then this is the role for you.
This role will suit you if you:
- Can perform procurement activities including: approach to market, tendering, evaluation, and contract management;
- Are experienced in business administration, records management, asset management, reporting, process development, and human resources;
- Are eager to take on tasks, outside your skillset, in support of others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to this role. You will be required to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and an agile approach to service delivery in an environment where priorities change rapidly.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Contamination Assessment, Remediation and Management (DCARM) bring expertise in contamination management to enable military capability, estate management, community safety and responsible land management.
DCARM investigates, remediates and manages risks to the environment and human health from legacy-contaminated sites. It also investigates and discloses details of contamination in property transactions and maintains public access to information about contamination on the Defence estate.
We are looking for high performing, experienced Administrative Officer to be a part of our small but dynamic Business Management team. We are a well skilled and diverse team dedicated to continuous improvement. Collectively we rely on each other's knowledge and strengths to achieve results.

An APS5 Administration Officer plays a key role by providing business advice and high-level reporting.
- A committed professional, who is adaptable and flexible to changing work priorities, whilst contributing to the continuous improvement of the team;
- Able to foster productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Highly capable in assessing and evaluating strategies, initiatives, projects, policy and procedures;
- Experienced in coordination and management of specialist advice including financial, governance and legislative frameworks;
- Responsible for progressing work to meet business objectives, recommends solutions for issues impacting the achievement of desired outcomes; and
- Able to consolidate and analyse data and information, coordinate and assist in the preparation of written submissions, briefs, corporate reports, and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
