The Opportunity
IDEXX is currently seeking x4 Casual Veterinary Laboratory Assistant to work across different department within laboratory alongside our Veterinary Laboratory Scientists. Working as part of a team our Laboratory Assistant contributes to the delivery of a timely, effective and efficient diagnostic pathology services in Brisbane, IDEXX's largest laboratory across Australia & New Zealand. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to specimen reception, routine diagnostic testing, quality control, general laboratory duties, instrument maintenance and general maintenance.
Ideally a Bachelor of Medical Science/or equivalent degree - or working towards obtaining a degree in these fields.
Experience in a medical laboratory setting
- a minimum one (1) year previous experience is desirable.
Experience within a core laboratory, with multi-discipline exposure is desirable
Intermediate PC & data entry skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to policies and practices.
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment.
Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
