Astley's Plumbing and Hardware has a unique opportunity for a Trade Representative to join their team. The Trades Representative will work directly with the sales team and other members of the building segment. Including Astley's and Plasta Masta. Responsibilities Serving customers, selling products and meeting customer needs Serving existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature Liaising with the Astley's branch daily to organise deliveries Participate and lead sales meetings and on-site training Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly/annual territory analysis. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Assisting with customer queries and provide solutions quickly. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Required skills and attributes Results driven sales experience Sales process from inception to the execution of the order Have a can-do positive attitude Maintain an orderly appearance Possess excellent interpersonal skills Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills. Knowledge in hardware and plumbing advantageous Proficient in Microsoft suite, excel and PowerPoint The Trade Representative role is a fulltime position based in the Dubbo Astley's office. The role is a regional travelling and representative role, visiting customers and cold calling on new business to widen and strengthen the Astley's brand from Dubbo and beyond.
