Join BHFLHN as a Senior Medical Practitioner delivering high-quality mental health care to rural and regional communities. You will provide clinical leadership, mentor junior staff, and contribute to multidisciplinary patient care and continuous quality improvement. ABOUT RURAL AND REMOTE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Rural and Remote Mental Health Service provides 24/7 Tertiary level services to the whole of country South Australia.There is a 23 bed Rural and Remote Mental Health Service based at Glenside Health Service Campus and threeIntegrated Mental Health Inpatient Units at Mount Gambier, Whyalla and Berri.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?
Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:
- You will need to be immunised. You can refer to the SA Health Immunisation Policyhere .Further information is in the application for to help guide you.
- You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
- You will be required to hold registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Practitioner within our organisation. You will need to hold Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. Previously enrolled in post graduate training with South Australian Psychiatry Training committee (or equivalent) and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry, with more than 5 years' experience in provision of Mental Health services to clients and their carers.
- Total Indicative Remuneration Package includes award salary, leave loading, professional development and superannuation
