AIR6500 is the Royal Australian Air Force's $3 billion initiative to deliver a next-generation Joint Air Battle Management System. Building on advanced sensor and command-and-control technologies, AIR6500 will create a fully networked "system of systems" that integrates air and missile defence across joint and coalition environments—maximising situational awareness and accelerating decision-making across the battlespace.

Your responsibilities will include:

Your Opportunity

As the Supply Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the supply support and logistics capability for the AIR6500 program. You will ensure the effective management of assets, inventory, and storage solutions while working closely with Commonwealth stakeholders to manage Government Furnished Material (GFM) throughout its lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Establish and lead the program's supply support capability, including inventory, asset management, and storage.
* Manage all aspects of Government Furnished Material (GFM), including requests to the Commonwealth, receipt, verification of fitness for purpose, and authorised return or disposal.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, service providers, and contractors, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
* Drive compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across supply support activities.

About you:

* Tertiary qualification in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or significant relevant experience within the Defence industry.
* Proven leadership or management experience, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Extensive hands-on experience with Inventory Management Systems.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to operate in a complex, high-assurance environment.

Special Requirements:

This role requires NV1 security clearance. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and able to obtain and maintain this clearance.
