Livestock Career Development Program
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in the 2026 Livestock Career Development Program. This comprehensive program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the livestock industry.
Job Description
This 24-month program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing. Participants will be involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on-the-ground training, and have mentors assigned to provide ongoing support.
During the program, participants will work in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by experienced livestock employees and leaders. They will learn effective selling and relationship-building techniques, as well as business skills such as compliance, sales, client relationship building, communication, marketing, and social media.
The program is designed for top talent who are looking to start or advance their careers in the livestock industry. Successful participants will have a strong desire to learn and succeed, excellent customer service skills, and strong negotiation abilities.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to take on leadership roles within the company. The program is a great opportunity for those looking to kick-start their career in the livestock industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Successful completion of Year 12
* Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
* Be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident
* Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
* The ability to work in a team environment
* Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and leadership potential
* Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
