With a team of highly experienced town planners, we have an extensive track record in providing expert town planning advice and securing planning approvals for a wide array of retail, commercial, and residential projects across Australia. We are currently looking for a Town Planner to undertake the role requirements below.
Responsibilities
Undertake preliminary reviews of proposals including analysis of partial/full planning approval triggers
Communicate with colleagues, clients, stakeholders and relevant statutory authorities in both written and oral form
Review of proposals and provision of town planning advice; preparation of planning reviews, feasibility reports, planning reports, etc.
Prepare and lodge town planning applications to various statutory authorities around Australia including management of applicable RFIs
Follow up on projects/applications and keep colleagues and clients updated on progress
Maintenance and updating of spreadsheets for job tracking purposes
Prepare accurate and descriptive fee proposals for clients as necessary
Retain costing information and advise accounts of applicable invoicing amounts
Review and research various levels of legislation
Qualifications / Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects independently while also working collaboratively within a small team. A client-focused attitude, adaptability across a range of residential and commercial projects, and a genuine interest in contributing to a growing consultancy are essential. A positive approach, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn will be highly valued.
