As a Senior Gas Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring public safety and compliance with gas legislation.
* Investigate fatalities, traumatic and serious incidents, breaches, and complaints related to gas installations.
* Provide expert advice and information to management, government investigators, and families of seriously injured or deceased persons.
* Conduct complex and sensitive investigations, as well as high-level enforcement activity, to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Coordinate and undertake inspections of consumer gas installations to identify potential hazards and ensure safe operation.
* Prepare and submit documentation required to enforce gas, technical, and safety legislation.
* Audit network operators' consumer installation inspection systems and supply systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Required qualifications include a Certificate of competency in gas fitting or a gas fitting permit endorsed Class G and I, along with extensive practical industrial gas fitting experience. A current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers' licence (or equivalent) is also necessary.
