We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store in Southport, Rasoi Master. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales performance, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and ensuring smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage the store’s product range, ensuring an appropriate mix of Nepalese, Indian and South Asian grocery items while maintaining optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
* Develop and implement purchasing strategies, coordinate with suppliers and wholesalers, and contribute to pricing decisions to ensure competitive and profitable product offerings.
* Promote the store’s products and services through in-store promotions, local advertising and community engagement to attract and retain customers.
* Assist customers with product selection, provide information on traditional ingredients and their uses, and ensure a high standard of customer service at all times.
* Monitor and record inventory movements, stock levels and daily financial transactions to maintain accurate store records and support efficient operations.
* Prepare and manage store budgets, track sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and cost control.
* Recruit, train, schedule and supervise retail staff to ensure smooth store operations and maintain strong team performance.
* Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety requirements and maintains a clean, organised and safe environment for staff and customers.
Requirements
* Proven experience of at least a year in a retail supervisory or management role
* Qualified in business or accounting
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to analyse sales data and implement improvement strategies
* Good organisational and problem-solving skills
* Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays if required
