Role The Leading Teacher ¿ Assessment, Data and School Improvement leads whole-school approaches to assessment, data analysis, and staff mentoring. The role works closely with the Principal Team, Assistant Principals, and Learning Specialists to ensure evidence informs instructional practice and improvement priorities. A critical focus of the role is the development and oversight of a whole-school assessment and data schedule that:
* Tracks student growth
* Identifies trends and patterns
* Informs improvement priorities
* Guides targeted intervention
* Measures initiative impact
Leadership uses this evidence to celebrate success, address gaps, and ensure initiatives such as literacy intervention and attendance strategies are purposeful and effective. The role also strengthens partnerships with feeder schools to support data sharing and successful student transitions so that every learner arrives known and supported. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
* Lead analysis of whole-school achievement, growth, engagement, attendance, and wellbeing data
* Develop and manage the whole-school assessment and data schedule
* Build staff data literacy and lead structured data conversations
* Develop dashboards and reports for leadership and teams
* Identify priority cohorts and monitor targeted strategies
* Strengthen consistent assessment and moderation practices
* Mentor and coach teachers to improve instructional practice
* Support early career and developing teachers through structured mentoring
* Contribute to AIP and School Strategic Plan implementation
* Monitor initiative impact and adjust based on evidence
* Build feeder school partnerships to strengthen transition data sharing
