At Multicultural Families Organisation (MFO), we are dedicated to supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), migrant, and refugee communities. Through our SARA Domestic Violence Support Program, we deliver critical safety, advocacy, and support for CALD women experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV).
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled bilingual Domestic Violence Case Manager to join our team in Southport. This role provides case management, crisis support, and advocacy to women experiencing DFV, including those with complex needs and high-risk situations, with a strong focus on CALD communities.
About the Role
Provide support to victims of domestic and family violence using a trauma-informed approach
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning that promote the ongoing safety of women and children
Advocate on behalf of women and facilitate referrals to a wide range of services, including legal assistance, housing, health care, and community resources.
Deliver crisis intervention services and ongoing case management to women impacted by domestic and family violence, ensuring access to essential support services.
About You
Degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in crisis support, risk assessment, and safety planning.
Knowledge of domestic and family violence theories and practices, including trauma-informed approaches.
Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
Understanding of DFV dynamics and the needs of CALD, migrant, and refugee communities.
Current Driver's Licence, Blue Card (Working with Children), and National Police Check.
Speak a second language other than English.
