The Opportunity
This role is for a high-energy, results-driven individual who enjoys following up leads, and taking ownership of outcomes — not someone looking for a passive or purely technical estimating role.
You will work closely with the Director and project team, learning how to:
* Price work accurately
* Sell
* Understand client needs
* Prepare and present quotes
* Build long-term client relationships
With the right attitude and performance, this role has a clear pathway into a Business Development Manager (BDM) position.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for pricing opportunities and actively converting them into secured work. You will prepare competitive estimates while owning the sales follow-up, negotiation support, and close process.
You will be measured on conversion rate, responsiveness, and contribution to revenue, not just quotes sent.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare competitive, margin-aware estimates and quotations
* Own the sales follow-up process — calls, emails, and client engagement
* Actively drive quotes through to acceptance and contract award
* Review drawings, scopes, and site information to price accurately and commercially
* Liaise with clients, property managers, facilities teams, and consultants
* Source supplier and subcontractor pricing with a focus on value and margin
* Support negotiations, scope clarifications, and variations
* Maintain CRM (Prime Ecosystem), pipeline reporting, and sales documentation
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth handover post-award
Learn and contribute to sales, client management, and follow-up processes.
About You
* Sales-driven mindset — you enjoy winning work
* Background or strong interest in construction (commercial experience preferred)
* Highly motivated, self-starting, and accountable for results
* Confident communicator comfortable picking up the phone and chasing decisions with good written and verbal communication
* Commercially sharp with strong numerical and pricing instincts, high level of attention to detail
* Organised and able to manage multiple live opportunities
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
Resilient, persistent, and outcome-focused.
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience in commercial construction, maintenance, or make good works
* Background in estimating, sales, business development, or construction admin
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scopes
* Experience using CRM or estimating software (Prime Ecosystem)
