We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance and providing exceptional support to our people and business leaders.
Core Responsibilities:
* End-to-end payroll processing (mid-month cycle, amendments, out-of-cycle pays, and terminations).
* Onboarding and maintaining employee records, including salary changes, allowances, and deductions.
* Managing payroll inbox queries and database accuracy.
* GL journal preparation and reconciliations.
Compliance & Reporting
* STP submissions, EOFY reconciliations, and payroll tax lodgments.
* Superannuation, novated leases, and FBT reporting.
* WorkCover renewals and HR Workplace Gender Reporting.
* Supporting Finance and management with accurate payroll reports.
Team & Support Contributions
* Investigating complex payroll queries and providing solutions.
* Assisting with acquisitions and onboarding of new businesses.
* Partnering with General Managers and stakeholders to support payroll outcomes.
* Driving process improvement and participating in system and project initiatives.
About You:
* Minimum 2 years' payroll experience with strong payroll systems knowledge (MicrOpay and/or iPayroll advantageous).
* High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
