Electrical Supervisor Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) to join our on-site maintenance department at one of Queensland's largest mining operations.
This is a permanent position offering stability, a market-competitive salary, and the opportunity to lead in a high-performing and safety-focused environment.
As part of a 7/7 day-night roster, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with all statutory and company standards, and driving team performance across site-based HME fleets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities on HME to ensure safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Provide leadership and technical support to electricians and trades personnel, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard.
* Plan and schedule electrical maintenance tasks in line with operational priorities.
* Ensure all documentation, reporting, and statutory compliance records are accurately maintained.
* Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
* Identify and implement innovative solutions to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
* Build strong, respectful relationships with other departments and external contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* An Electrical Trade Qualification with current Queensland Electrical License.
* Significant experience supervising electrical maintenance teams on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
* A strong working knowledge of mining mobile plant systems including trucks, shovels, excavators, and ancillary equipment.
* A demonstrated track record in leading teams with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control.
* A high level of computer literacy including maintenance planning systems and Microsoft Office.
* Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 qualifications.
* Current Carry Out the Risk Management Process – G2 qualification.
* Current Queensland Coal Board Medical certification or willingness to obtain.
* Current Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain.
