Experienced (Lead) Wind Technicians: Installation and Maintenance

The client is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, specializing in wind turbine maintenance and repair. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Lead Wind Turbine Technicians to oversee a new large-scale rural wind farm project in Queensland.
**The Role**
We are looking for Lead Technicians to join our team of technical professionals in maintaining facilities surrounding wind turbines, the turbines themselves, and substation facilities.
As a key player in our operational excellence program, you will assist the Site Manager in leading our technician crew and performing a variety of administrative tasks, including planning, training, and auditing. Your attention to safety requirements and regulations will be critical in ensuring overall safety on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of wind turbine technicians in the maintenance and repair of wind turbines.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform scheduled maintenance on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with wind turbines and develop solutions to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
- Coordinate with, and report to the Site Manager to schedule maintenance and repairs around production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and conducting regular safety audits.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and respond promptly to any issues or concerns.
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated past experienced in wind turbine installation across any platforms.
- Hold a valid GWO Certification
- White Card
- Minimum of 3 years experience within the Wind Industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
