After nearly 20 years, Chalet Rigi Restaurant in Kalamunda is reopening, and we are looking for an experienced and reliable Restaurant Manager to join our team.

About the Role
As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensuring high standards of customer service, staff performance, food service, presentation, and day‐to‐day management. As the restaurant is currently preparing to open, the successful applicant will initially be engaged to assist with the final touches before opening, including setting up front‐of‐house operations, assisting with staff preparation, organising service procedures, and ensuring the restaurant is ready for customers.
Once the restaurant opens, you will be expected to lead by example, support the team, manage bookings and customer enquiries, and help create a welcoming and professional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the final setup and opening preparations for the restaurant;
* Managing daily restaurant operations once open;
* Supervising and supporting front‐of‐house staff;
* Assisting with staff training, rostering, and service preparation;
* Ensuring excellent customer service at all times;
* Managing bookings, table arrangements, and customer enquiries;
* Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally;
* Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service;
* Maintaining cleanliness, presentation, and compliance standards;
* Monitoring stock, supplies, and general restaurant needs;
* Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, and workplace requirements;
* Ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and professionally.
Mandatory Requirements
* A valid Course in Management of Licensed Premises;
* The nationally accredited unit Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Looking for someone with
* Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality role;
* Strong leadership and communication skills;
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment;
* Good organisation and problem‐solving skills;
* A professional and positive attitude;
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays;
* Strong understanding of licensed venue obligations, responsible service of alcohol, and venue compliance.
