About the role
We are seeking persons interested in working within the transportation and logistics industry. This is a full-time role based at either of our depots located in Atherton, Mareeba or Cairns. The role will consist of basic administrative taskings. This is a busy role that will require organisation, coordination and an eye for detail. You will be working along side a team of existing adminitration officers who will support you in your knowledge growth.
What you'll be doing
* Providing a wide range of administrative support tasks, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and general office duties
* Handling incoming phone calls and emails, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members
* Maintaining and updating various administrative records and databases
* Providing support for special projects and events as required
* Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative function
* Coordinate and schedule transportation services efficiently
* Monitor vehicle locations and provide updates to drivers and clients
* Respond to dispatch requests and manage timely deliveries
* Collaborate with transportation teams to resolve issues promptly
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
* Generate reports regarding transportation performance and efficiency
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
* Proficiency in using common office software, such as Microsoft Office suite
* A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a keen attention to detail
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
