Key Responsibilities
The key objective is to achieve and exceed revenue targets in sales and gross profit, as set by the National Sales Manager. This involves securing new opportunities, developing sales plans, growing sales with existing clients, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
* Achieve sales targets while maintaining GP in assigned territories;
* Research and pursue new account customers;
* Plan and schedule face-to-face sales calls;
* Notify the National Sales Manager of any unscheduled sales;
* Record sales calls in CRM, including notes on discussions, follow-ups, and timings;
* Follow up with customers after visits;
* Coordinate GTMs with remote customers to increase awareness and sales;
* Assist customers in training their sales staff on our products and industry knowledge;
* Support customers with marketing materials to boost sales;
* Service and contact individual stores of national accounts as requested;
* Process sales orders if necessary;
* Enhance product and industry knowledge to provide technical support;
* Manage specific product groups to ensure sales growth and market intelligence;
* Attend trade exhibitions as needed;
* Utilize software like Phocas for analyzing sales opportunities;
* Monitor market trends, opposition pricing, and new product opportunities;
* Respond to customer requests and resolve disputes;
* Promote company programs like USP’s, ILD, and Megarewards;
* Assist finance with debt collection and customer credit assessments;
* Inform sales or procurement teams of new inquiries and leads;
* Understand company account and credit policies;
* Coordinate product training sessions;
* Maintain customer service standards;
* Record all customer communications in CRM;
* Upsell and cross-sell where applicable;
* Follow pricing rules and promote specials during calls;
* Use relevant business software effectively;
* Participate in training programs and implement learned benefits.
