About the Employer:
My client is a local council in Sydney's North West.
After recently completing an organisational redesign, they have a number of exciting projects to support a transformation of the Procurement and Contract Services team.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Procurement and Contract Services you will lead a number of key projects and act as a Business Partner to internal clients.
* Run both simple and complex sourcing events (RFQs, RFTs, panels, etc.)
* Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing proactive procurement support and advice
* Manage and support a wide range of tenders across multiple categories
* Work independently, managing workload, priorities and stakeholder expectations with minimal oversight
* Demonstrate high integrity, sound judgement, and alignment to public sector probity requirements
Initially, you will be working across Investment Advisory and ICT Project categories but there will be opportunity across the whole business.
To be Successful in Your Application You Will Demonstrate:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) and significant industry experience in Local Government, the Public Sector or relevant non-government organisation;
* A demonstrated track record leading end-to-end procurement processes, supported by appropriate procurement software, ERP systems and data analytics tools;
* Superior relationship management and interpersonal skills and a strong customer orientation.
