Payroll Officer – Luxury Retail Brand (Temporary 3–6 Months, Part-Time) MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a luxury retail brand looking for a Payroll Officer to join their head office team.
This is a temporary opportunity (3–6 months) with the potential to extend for the right candidate.
Why you'll love this role: Foot in the door with an amazing luxury brand Super warm and welcoming team — Payroll team of 3, 4 including this role Start ASAP 3–6 month contract with the potential to extend Location: North Ryde, beautiful offices Part-time: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday each week (Monday WFH after training) Pay: $45–$50 per hour + Super (depending on experience) Your Role: End-to-end AU retail payroll processing (fortnightly, ~700 employees) Process multi-state payrolls accurately and on time Reconcile timesheets and resolve anomalies proactively Manage employee data, leave entitlements, and personnel records with precision Liaise with superannuation funds and government bodies to ensure compliance Produce insightful reports to support management decisions Calculate termination payments and prepare separation certificates Collaborate with HR, finance teams, and external auditors Continuously improve systems and challenge existing processes to work smarter What we're looking for: Solid experience in AU payroll legislation, award interpretation, and entitlements (preferably General Retail Industry Award) End-to-end payroll processing experience Experience with ADP Payforce payroll software Experience with Tambla/e-tivity or similar time attendance systems Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook and Excel Knowledge of superannuation and payroll tax reconciliation Excellent written and verbal communication skills If this sounds like you, APPLY NOW and join a team where your payroll expertise will make a real impact
