About the role
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will provide effective stores and warehousing services that support Council's inventory assets, facilities and equipment. You will be responsible for inventory control, plant and equipment operation, and delivering high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining strong safety standards at all times. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key activities
* Receive, replenish, control, store and issue inventory and direct purchase materials in accordance with Council procedures and delegations
* Provide responsive, professional customer service and resolve enquiries or escalate issues where required
* Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment including forklifts, front end loaders, overhead cranes, stores utility vehicles and delivery trucks

Qualifications and experience
* Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
* National High Risk Licence for the Operation of a Forklift Truck (LF) or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment
* Evidence of competency of the operation of a Front End Loader (LL) or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment
* NSW WorkCover General Construction Induction Card or equivalent OR willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment
* Recent experience in a stores or warehousing environment
* Experience using computerised inventory management systems
* Strong customer service skills and a team‐focused approach
Offer and benefits
* The commencing salary for this position is up to $63.6K. Central Coast Council provides progression opportunities up to a maximum salary of $76.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation + Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions
* Permanent full-time role available
* Access to a 9 day fortnight
* Location: Erina Depot
