This role is responsible for providing a range of frontline computing and audio-visual services, including customer support at any ITS service point, as well as assistance via email, in person, and over the phone.What You’ll Be DoingProvide information and advice on Information Technology Services policies and proceduresResolve a high percentage of incidents and enquiries at the first point of contactReceive and prioritise incident reportsLog incidents in the fault tracking systemTrack incidents from report to resolution to ensure customer satisfactionAssist and instruct customers in the use of ITS equipment, resources, and facilities, including computers, audio-visual equipment, software, and systemsAbout YouSuccessful completion of Year 12 and progress towards a degree or diploma in Information Technology or Information Management; or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, experience, and training (a completed degree or diploma in IT is desirable)Strong customer service and call-handling experience, both in person and over the phoneProven ability to manage high-volume Service Desk enquiries efficientlyExperience in a structured IT Service Desk environment (experience in higher education is preferred)ServiceNow experience would be a bonusAbility to work collaboratively in a team while managing your own tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to prioritise and multitaskHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAdvanced computer skillsFamiliarity with networks, hardware, software, and operating systems, including audio-visual technologiesFlexible, adaptable, and responsive to changePlease note: This is a temporary role and you must be available to start in the coming weeks. The position is full-time (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm), and may lead to permanent opportunities.
