This hands‐on role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining telecommunications and power systems across workshop and site environments. A communications and technology company delivering solutions for remote and high-reliability environments is looking for an Electrician Level 2. You will support project delivery, ensure safety and quality standards, and may mentor junior team members. This is a full‐time role across various project sites in Australia (WA, QLD, SA) with travel and site‐based work required.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, and maintain electrical and telecommunications power systems
* Perform fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on complex systems
* Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
* Conduct site safety checks, JHA/JSA/SWMS, and ensure compliance with safety standards
* Support service restoration and respond to system outages
* Supervise and guide technicians and contractors on site
* Assist with project installations and commissioning of new infrastructure
* Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to support project delivery
* Complete reports, maintenance logs, and documentation
* Maintain tools, equipment, and safe work practices at all times
Requirements
* Trade‐qualified Electrician with a current electrical licence
* Strong experience in electrical systems, ideally within telecoms, DC power, or similar
* Experience with battery systems, power supplies, or site‐based infrastructure
* Solid fault‐finding and troubleshooting capability
* Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
* Experience working on‐site or in field service environments
* Strong safety mindset and knowledge of compliance requirements
* Ability to work independently and lead small teams
* Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have
* Experience in mining, resources, defence, or critical infrastructure
* Cabling licence, Working at Heights, EWP, or similar tickets
* Supervisory experience leading teams on site
* Experience with commissioning and project‐based work
