Position Overview
Amiad Water Systems is currently seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager in a full-time role.
The successful candidate will be trained to sell and service/maintain Amiad's product range and will be tasked with servicing and building relationships with local dealers, consultants, engineers and farmers in the South Australian and Mildura Areas.

Key Job Elements
General Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying and building relationships with customers, consultants, end-users.
Develop and sustain strong commercial relationships with nominated customers and influencers/consultants.
Demonstrate products and services to existing and potential end-users, consultants, and customers and assist them in selecting those products/services/solutions best suited to their needs.
Joint (incl. Business Development Manager & Product Manager) customer visits.
Update & maintain customer database documentation as required (CRM).
Assess and engage in appropriate pilot (bench-scale and full-scale) trial opportunities.
Contribute to appropriate case studies & application sheet(s) about successful installations in the Area.
Attend exhibitions and trade shows, organise attendees, and do follow-ups.
Participate and present in Amiad Uni's and TechWorks and Industry Forums, where required.
Deliver product training to end-users, consultants, and customers.
Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship/partnership-based approach.
Prepare/assist with detailed pricing, quotations, and tender submissions for products, projects and solutions as required.
Complete new customer account application and submit for approval.
Recommend potential National Key Accounts to Sales Manager(s).
Implement selling best practices, delivering upon targets (budgeted sales and margin).
Implement selling best practices, delivering upon monthly booking (orders) targets.
Providing input/support in creation of future budgets.
Monitor Sales and Marketing activity expenses within the Area.
Service Responsibilities
Commissioning of basic systems to service the customer and build rapport.
Direct warranty support (especially extended warranty).
Attend tender site meetings to network and build relationships.
Maintaining spare parts and accessories.
Building maintenance business in the region in conjunction with our dealer network.
Building relationships with local dealers & farmers.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Technical
Knowledge of Filtration, Air Valves and Control Valves beneficial but not essential.
Irrigation/Horticulture.
Water Treatment.
Ability to keep abreast of latest technological developments including competitors' activities in water filtration and control equipment and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have the following:
Eligible to live and work in Australia.
Previous experience in a Sales and Technical role.
Previous experience in the water, pumping or irrigation industry is beneficial, but not essential.
Physically fit to be able to endure manual lifting tasks.
Mechanically minded.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Good computer skills with the ability to work on/off site.
A strong safety focus in a busy environment.
Hold a current Drivers' Licence.
