Overview
The Store & Logistics Coordinator ensures materials and equipment reach our remote and regional sites on time and in good condition. You will manage stock in the site shed, coordinate pickups and deliveries, and organise transport via road, barge, air, or other means as required. All material requirements will be directed by managers. This is a hands-on role critical to keeping remote projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Logistics & Transport: Arrange and coordinate material transport to remote sites, including barge, flights, and road freight.
* Track and confirm delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive when needed.
* Liaise with suppliers, freight providers, and site teams to manage transport logistics.
* Organise return or disposal of excess or faulty materials.
* Stores & Inventory Management: Receive deliveries, check items, and record accurately in stock registers.
* Manage stock levels in site sheds/stores, keeping materials organised and secure.
* Issue materials and equipment to site teams as directed by managers.
* Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
* General Site Support: Assist with loading/unloading of materials when required.
* Ensure safe handling and storage of materials.
* Maintain cleanliness and order of storage areas.
* Support site teams with ad hoc logistics tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in logistics, stores, or materials handling is desirable but not essential.
* Building knowledge is highly desirable, to understand materials and construction processes.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
* Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and site teams.
* Basic computer skills for record keeping.
* Forklift licence is essential.
* LR licence is essential.
