We are looking for experienced Residential Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team to:
* Support people with disabilities to live independently and to achieve their personal goals.
* Provide direct support for individuals during program delivery, meal times, personal care, behavioral, physical and social supports.
* Create a positive environment for all residents promoting both physical and emotional well‐being.
* Provide quality services and results, by the relationships formed between staff, the people we support, their families and representatives.
* Communicate with resident families and day program on a regular basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
* A strong knowledge of disability, including complex communication and behaviour, either through qualifications or demonstrated experience in the field.
* Applicants must be highly motivated, energetic and committed to providing the highest quality of care and support to people with a disability and be willing to support residents in a variety of activities in a variety of settings.
* Flexibility and availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts: morning, day, afternoon, sleepovers, evening and weekends.
* Experience in providing care to high care residents (hoists, transfers, bed transfers).
* A strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and Best Practice Standards.
* Exceptional listening, reading and communication skills, with the ability to recognise and interpret non‐verbal cues.
* A detailed and thorough approach to record keeping.
* Must be fully vaccinated.
* Working With Children Check.
* National Criminal History check.
* Right to work in Australia.
