The Health Services Planning Unit is looking for an Assistant Director to support the Health and Community Services Directorate’s (HCSD) in undertaking detailed analysis of Territory wide health service needs, population demographic, health status and burden of disease data, as well as current and projected trends in health service activity to inform priorities for service development, service design and redesign as well as input into infrastructure investment by supporting operational level service planning. As our potential Assistant Director you will require strong analytical and research skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in health service delivery, planning, health system analysis or related policy/strategy roles in government/public health with proven ability to work in a fast paced, close knit, collaborative and dynamic team environment. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Demonstrated experience and knowledge about health service delivery, planning, health system analysis or related policy/strategy roles in government/public health is mandatory. Demonstrated knowledge of population health profiles, health service delivery models and ageing, mental health and any other services in the ACT and other jurisdictions, including an understanding of territory and commonwealth government health ecosystem. Tertiary qualifications in health services management, research, heath economics, data analysis or any clinical experience will be highly regarded. Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a preemployment National Police Check.
