Mainframe Developer We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support and maintain large, complex, and business-critical mainframe applications for one of our workplace health and safety regulator clients. In this role, you will provide technical support and maintenance for mainframe applications. Analyse and resolve complex issues, including enhancements to ADABAS Natural and COBOL code, batch processes, and system interfaces. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver new business projects. Key Responsibilities · Maintain and enhance business-critical mainframe applications. · Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. · Contribute to new development initiatives and system upgrades. · Ensure system stability, performance, and security. · Participate in an out-of-hours support roster as required. · Adhere to established & detailed processes and procedures Required Skills and Experience Essential: · Experience as a developer with ADABAS Natural, IBM mainframes, JCL and SQL. · Problem-solving and analytical skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Must reside in Victoria, Australia. Desirable: · Experience with COBOL. · Ability to recommend proactive improvements to system performance and stability. · Familiarity with quality and security standards in software development.
