About Foxleigh Mine:
Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. Operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. At Foxleigh we take great pride in achieving our objectives and for us wining is the combination of care and results.

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Superintendent provides leadership and oversight of all site-based financial and commercial activities to support the safe, efficient and financially sustainable operation of Foxleigh Mine.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong financial governance, supporting operational decision-making, and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency across the business.

You will lead the site Commercial team while working closely with operational leaders and Joint Venture partners to deliver accurate reporting, robust financial analysis, and commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the site budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with operational departments
* Manage the monthly financial reporting and close process
* Analyse site costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance
* Coordinate preparation of Joint Venture financial reporting and support audit requirements
* Facilitate site cost review meetings with operational teams
* Provide financial insight to support capital investment and operational decision-making
* Ensure compliance with financial governance, regulatory and reporting obligations
* Lead and develop the Commercial team, fostering a high-performing culture

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring strong financial leadership capability and experience operating within a dynamic operational environment.

You will also have:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or related discipline
* CA / CPA qualification
* Significant experience in financial management, commercial governance, or accounting roles
* Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
* Advanced financial analysis and cost management skills
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capability
* Ability to translate financial information into practical operational insights

Experience in the mining or resources industry and exposure to Joint Venture financial environments will be highly regarded.
