We are seeking a senior payroll professional to join our Northgate APAC Finance Head Office team on a permanent basis. This stand-alone role will report to the Financial Controller and you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll services across our Australia & New Zealand business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, head office finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.
Your responsibilities will include –
* Preparation and processing of fortnightly and monthly pays using ADP across multiple entities in Australia and New Zealand (approx. 400 employees).
* Ensuring compliance with payroll related Award and Enterprise Agreement legislative and statutory requirements.
* Employee maintenance including ensuring accurate new starter set ups, maintaining leave and deductions, through to termination and long service leave calculations.
* Management of statutory payments relating to Superannuation and Payroll Tax.
* Month end reporting including Headcount reporting, Super reconciliations etc.
* Preparation of periodic and adhoc reports for Finance and management across the organisation.
* Developing and implementing best practice payroll processes and programs.
* Management and investigation of all payroll queries.
About You
Ideally you will display –
* Demonstrated 3-5 years' experience in a Senior or stand alone payroll capacity within a medium/large company.
* Specific system experience in ADP Payroll and Workday HRIS experience will be advantageous.
* Demonstrated experience working with large payroll systems across multiple sites.
* Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills including the use of VLOOKUP and SUMIF formulas.
* Experience in End of Month reporting and analysis will be advantageous.
* A passion for payroll with an inherent focus on attention to detail, confidentiality and customer service
* A high level of organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
