About the Role
The Senior Marketing Manager who reports to the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer plays a key role in shaping the YBR Group’s brand message, driving market growth, and ensuring the effective implementation of national
marketing and communication strategies across the company’s brands (YBR Home Loans, Resi, YBRA).
The role is tasked with increasing brand awareness for the YBR Group, generating new business leads, and staying informed of marketing strategies and trends. This role focuses
on strategic planning, content development, brand management, and team leadership, adding to the previous responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Producer role’s emphasis on digital media production and project coordination
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing national marketing and communication content and initiatives across multiple platforms for head office and the wider national network.
* Evaluating and optimising YBR Groups’s national omni-channel marketing campaigns and strategies.
* Managing the marketing department's daily operations and mentoring the marketing team’s 3 direct internal reports – Marketing, Media & Communications co-ordinators.
* Managing relationships of up to 6-10 external stakeholders (depending on the project size) and vendors across digital agencies, PR, podcasts, video production, design and events.
* Promoting the brand at industry-related events
* Analysing marketing data and developing content strategy
* Executive Producer of the group’s podcasts and project management of key media channels across video, TV & radio campaigns, advertising and online ads.
* Coordinating with various departments, assisting in recruiting staff, supervising staff on projects, and preparing regular reports for senior management.
Skills & Experience
* Ability to develop and deliver national, multi‑brand marketing strategies that build brand awareness and drive lead generation across B2B and B2C audiences.
* Strong experience delivering integrated omni‑channel campaigns, including digital, social, video, PR, events, paid media, TV, radio and advertising
* Proven brand and content leadership, ensuring consistent messaging and execution across all platforms and the national broker network.
* Demonstrated people leadership capability, including mentoring and managing internal marketing team members. An empathetic and strong leader who nurtures their team, and balances work priorities.
* Strong stakeholder and agency management experience across digital, media, PR, creative, production and events partners.
* Data‑driven approach with the ability to analyse campaign performance and optimise activity for impact and ROI.
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and representing the brand externally.
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within financial services.
* Experience working within franchised, broker or network‑based business models.
* Comfortable working with, presenting with senior leadership, C-suite, and Board.
* Mortgage broking or financial services marketing experience highly desirable, with an understanding of broker engagement and lead‑driven growth.
* Proven experience managing national campaigns and complex, concurrent initiatives at scale
* Outgoing and engaging individual who is confident presenting, communicating and influencing diverse audiences.
* Highly effective at shaping and delivering messages that resonate with and mobilise the broker network.
* Adaptable and commercially minded, with the ability to respond quickly to market changes and shifting priorities.
* Thinks on their feet and moves fast to capture emerging opportunities.
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
