About the Role
This position requires a Registered Nurse with expertise in training and assessment to design, deliver, and evaluate clinical care training and competency assessments for aged care workers across residential and home care services. Key responsibilities include delivering mandatory and role-specific training, developing training materials, conducting initial competency assessments, identifying gaps in competency, and providing remedial support or additional training as required.
Key Requirements
* Registered Nurse (AHPRA Registration – unrestricted)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
* Current Driver's Licence
Qualifications and Experience
* Long-standing experience working within residential aged care or home care settings
* Experience in adult learning, staff education, or clinical assessment
* Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Standards
* Up-to-date knowledge in aged care practice areas such as wound care, medication management, restrictive practices, and palliative care
* Ability to apply clinical judgment to determine capability and performance
* Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training platforms
