Where you’ll be working
You will be working within a health service that serves a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and treats more than 700,000 patients each year. You will be based at the 305-bed main referral hospital, in a newly established building boasting state-of-the-art medical equipment. The hospital has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms. The operating theatre complex is supported by a 10-bed Intensive Care/High Dependency Unit, with a capacity to increase to 14 beds.
As the Clinical Director of Anaesthetics, you will provide expert clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of high performing anaesthetic services in collaboration with a well-established, multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate with the Director of Medical Services to strategically plan and deliver effective and efficient services that are comprehensive, high-quality and accessible. You will participate in performance appraisal and development processes, research, and engage in continuous learning and workplace improvements. You will have the opportunity to provide both clinical and strategic leadership, as well as playing an integral role in the teaching and supervising of junior doctors. Salary information
Clinical Director of Anaesthetics can expect a total remuneration of up to $528,444, plus benefits.
Requirements
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
