- Knowledge and understanding of the intelligence discipline on matters which affect the security and good order of the correctional environment will be highly regarded
- Experience working with sensitive information will be highly regarded
- Superior capability in the use of information management systems will be highly regarded
- Ability to investigate matters and conduct research and knowledge of principles of crime scene management
- Knowledge of intelligence processes and products
- Preparation of complex reports and submissions
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Good interviewing techniques with particular emphasis on Human source management
Other conditions and requirements
Whilst there are no mandatory requirements for this position, successful completion or the willingness to complete the Introduction to Intelligence (ATP005) module of the Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Police Intelligence) or a similar or higher qualification would be highly desirable.
There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
