Job Title: Customer Engineer – Power
Department: Global Service
Reports to: Base Region & Country APAC - ANZ
Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to carry out service of equipment, after‐hours service, commissioning and service contract maintenance as directed by the Service Operations Manager and Service Supervisor – Power.
Key Responsibilities Planning & Reporting
* Ensure that service reports, expense claims and any other reports required by Management are completed and submitted by the due date.
* Complete Timesheets accurately each week and submit to the Operations Manager or Service Supervisor – Power by the due date. Supply a Doctor's Certificate for any absence of more than two days due to illness/injury.
* Complete Field Service Reports for every service call, signed by the customer, and detail all items used, whether Liebert spares or consumables.
Operational Delivery
* Carry out commissioning, service contract maintenance and after‐hours service commitments professionally, within time, expense and profitability constraints.
* Maintain positive relationships with customers and report complaints promptly for remedial action.
* Maintain competence to handle required technology, training, and personal updating.
* Ensure company vehicle, dress, appearance, and business conduct comply with company policy.
* Fill out Spur Parts Van stock requisitions to maintain accurate records of stock in service vans and store.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify and report Sales & Service opportunities to Management.
* Work with Sales Department on new sales opportunities and prospects.
WHS, Environment & Quality
* Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations.
* Actively promote safety in the workplace.
Daily Work Duties and Expectations
* Driver's license required (may involve visits to remote sites).
* Overnight or longer trips may be required.
* Travel as a lone worker (unaccompanied).
* After‐hours work and on‐call roster participation required.
* Attend customer service calls.
* Occasional use of ladders.
* Work in tight and restricted locations.
* Work on and around energized electrical equipment.
* Lift, carry, and relocate equipment and components (e.g., batteries, tools, spare parts).
Education / Qualification
* Electrical/Electronics Trade Certificate (ideally).
* Relevant State‐based Electrical Licence.
Specialist Knowledge
* Commercial acumen.
* Technical knowledge in data centres, telecom, commercial & industrial or similar industries.
Practical Experience
* Proven track record as a service technician in the power industry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Excellent communication, inter‐personal and problem‐solving skills.
* Learning agility.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
* Negotiation and influencing skills.
* Computer literacy at an intermediate level.
